The History Of Firestone's JDRF Kick Off Event
Firestone Diversified Products (FSDP) hosted a one day event to kick off the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walk each year. Thanks to the event committee for making this event a hit every year.
Firestone has been participating in the JDRF walk since 2000 to help raise funds for JDRF as well as have a day teammates can get outside and have fun. Each year, the event day consists of a cook out, auto show, dunk tank and a few other fun events to participate in.
The automotive show was opened up for the first time in 2009 to other automotive enthusiasts outside the Firestone office. It was a great success. The show was headed by Stephanie Beers, an automotive enthusiast herself, since 2004, but the automotive show has been a part of the kick off day since 2001.
